Concord Birth and Wellness Center

The journey of pregnancy, birthing and parenting is a very intimate and intense adventure. The foundation of our care is RESPECT, HONESTY, and TRUST. Each woman has a very individual experience and deserves reverence and celebration. A woman has the right to choose where and with whom she feels the safest, most empowered and secure, to have the experience she desires.

We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care, offering an intricate balance of tradition and technology. Midwives are the facilitators of natural process and reserve intervention, invasive testing and procedures for situations outside the parameters of normal. We allow as much time as needed to listen, interact and educate — encouraging families to be proactive, to make truly informed decisions about their care.

Jeanne Browne

Certified Professional Midwife

Concord Birth and Wellness Center was borne by Jeanne Browne, certified nationally by NARM (North American Registry of Midwives) as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), and locally by the New Hampshire Midwifery Council as a New Hampshire Certified Midwife (NHCM). Jeanne has been attending births in many capacities for over 12 years. She has been a Certified Massage Therapist, trained as an Emergency Medical Technician, Professional Doula, and worked as Breastfeeding Counselor for NH Health and Human Services. Her midwifery training has been through Birthwise Midwifery School, a 3 year preceptorship at Longmeadow Farm Birthing Home, an intensive internship at Casa de Nacimiento, and ongoing co-care and assisting with sister NHCMs. Jeanne has 2 children, both happily breastfed (forever)!

As a dedicated midwife, Jeanne has many consultative relationships with a network of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care. All midwives/birth attendants affiliated with Concord Birth and Wellness Center hold current certification in infant, child and adult CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation.

From I-93 north or south… take exit 15w in Concord, merge into Right lane, turn Right at traffic light onto N. State St. Drive approx. 1 mile and turn Right onto McGuire St. Follow signs to Body and Spirit spa into the Smokestack Center. Drive around to the left of the little brick building (that’s us) and turn right into parking lot. Concord Birth and Wellness Center sign over our 2 glass entrance doors. Welcome!
