Despite the rumors regarding HB 309, Concord Birth Center is still accepting all major forms of insurance!

Concord Birth Center is a NH state licensed outpatient healthcare facility. It is located 1 mile off I-93 in Concord NH, in a beautiful historic building on the Merrimack River.

The private birthing suites are designed with labor and birthing in mind; a safe, comfortable environment, freedom of movement, outdoor grounds to wander, private bathrooms, optimal positioning apparatus, waterbirth pools, music, etc. in a free-standing building where noise is not an issue. Family and friends are welcome. Meanwhile, you will be supported and attended by a highly-skilled, close-knit team of midwives. Concord Birth Center is part of a community-based integrated healthcare system, offering the highest standard of care. It is approximately 3 miles from the nearest hospital where obstetrical medical care is available if needed.

Along with diverse practitioners working out of the center, Concord Birth Center also hosts community gatherings; mother’s groups, Doula training workshops, childbirth classes, and other workshops and demonstrations. Stop by for a tour and check out our upcoming events!

Directions to the Concord Birth Center

From I-93 north or south? take exit 15w in Concord, merge into Right lane, turn Right at traffic light onto N. State St. Drive approx. 1 mile and turn Right at red Smokestack Center sign - easy to miss! Turn Right at stop sign and drive around to the left of the little brick building (that’s us) and turn right into parking lot. Concord Birth and Wellness Center sign over our 2 glass entrance doors. Welcome!

Payment for Services

Almost all insurance plans now cover out-of-hospital birth services with a NH Certified Midwife, including Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Sheild, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, Aetna, EBPA, United Healthcare, NH Medicaid/Healthy Kids.Please call us regarding insurance coverage, not all information from insurance call lines is accurate!
